Mittenly is a calm puzzle with a little bite. The tangle looks simple, the mitten looks friendly, and then the basket starts to fill. Think a couple of pulls ahead and the whole thing unravels beautifully.
How a mitten gets knitted
The needles above the board show the colour the mitten needs now, and the colours coming after it. Everything else is up to you.
Knit it straight in
If it's the colour the pattern needs, it knits straight into the mitten, row by row.
Or let it wait
Other colours wait in a small basket and unwind into the needles by themselves when their colour comes up.
Don't get Tangled!
If a new colour arrives and the basket has no room, you're Tangled. Read the needle preview and keep a spot free.
Calm, but never rigged
Every level is checked to be solvable before it reaches you. There are no impossible boards and no levels tuned to make you pay. If you get Tangled, there was a better order, and it's there to be found.
- Pins arrive at level 26: a pinned strand can't be pulled until the mitten reaches its row.
- Hold a strand to peek at what's hiding beneath the tangle.
- Undo three times per try, or Retry the mitten from the start.
- One hint per try, if you want it. It costs the third star.
Six homes, six cats
Every mitten you knit brings something for the house. Furniture arrives as you go, and the six cosy homes slowly fill up with beds, plants, rugs and cat towers.
- Six cats move in, one by one.
- Pet them, feed them and play with them.
- Earn bows with your stars and dress them up.
- Seasonal decorations change the homes through the year.

Is Mittenly free?
The first 40 levels and the Daily Mitten are free, with no ads. An optional one-time purchase, Mittenly Forever (US$4.99), unlocks endless levels. There is no subscription.
Can every level be solved?
Yes. Every level is checked to be solvable before it reaches you. If you get Tangled, there was a better order, and Undo or Retry lets you find it.
Are there ads, lives or timers?
No. There are no ads, no lives, no energy, no timers and no accounts. Play as many mittens as you like, at your own pace.
Can I play if I'm colour-blind?
Yes. Turn on patterns in Settings and every yarn colour gets its own pattern. Mittenly also supports VoiceOver, and light and dark mode.
Where is my progress saved?
On your device. Closing the app never loses a mitten in progress, and nothing is sent anywhere: there are no accounts and no tracking.
