What is Mittenly?

Mittenly is a calm yarn puzzle for iPhone and iPad. Every level is a tangle of wool and a mitten to knit. Pull the strands that are free; the colours the needles want knit straight into the mitten, and the rest waits in a small basket.

How do I play?

Tap a strand to pull it. Strands lying under others can't be pulled until the ones on top are gone. The needles show the colour they want now and the colours after that. Yarn the needles don't need yet waits in the basket and unwinds into the mitten by itself when its colour comes up. If a new colour has no room in the basket, you're Tangled! I'm stuck. What can I do?

Use Undo to step back a pull (three per try), or Retry to start the mitten again. Plan with the needle preview: pull colours the needles will want soon, and keep a basket spool free for the next new colour. If you'd like a warning as soon as a mitten can no longer be finished, turn on Dead-end warning in Settings.

What are the pins?

From level 26, some strands are pinned to the board. A pinned strand can't be pulled until the mitten reaches the row shown on its pin. A dashed line on the mitten shows where.

How do stars work?

Knit a mitten without Undo for three stars, with one or two undos for two stars, and with more for one star. Stars earn bows for your cats.

Is Mittenly free?

The first 40 levels and the Daily Mitten are free, with no ads. The optional one-time purchase Mittenly Forever unlocks endless levels. You can buy it any time from the shop (the bag on the home screen) or in Settings. There are no subscriptions.

How do I restore my purchase?

Open Settings in the game and tap Restore purchase, signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it with. Mittenly Forever also works with Family Sharing.

Where is my progress saved?

On your device. Mittenly has no accounts and doesn't collect any data. Deleting the app deletes its progress, subject to your iOS and iCloud backup settings.

Can I play without colours?

Yes. Turn on Patterns on yarn colours in Settings to add a pattern to every colour. Mittenly also supports VoiceOver and Reduce Motion.

Which devices are supported?

Mittenly is made for iPhone and iPad.

How do I report a bug?

Email blueflamegames@proton.me with your device model, iOS or iPadOS version, the level number, what happened, and the steps to make it happen again. Please don't send passwords or payment details.
