Swipe to change lanes
Swipe left or right to switch lanes and cut in ahead of a rival bus before it reaches the waiting riders.
Race rival buses for every fare. Weave through Rivergate's painted streets with one thumb, outrun the crews who want your passengers, and turn a battered little minibus into the pride of the river city.
A fictional river city bursting with colour, inspired by South Asian streets and hand-painted buses. Market stalls, ferry landings, a busy station, the college crowd and the lanes of Old Town: every district has riders waiting, and every one of them is up for grabs.

Fare Wars is built to be played one-handed. Every shift is a sprint: pick up, drop off, keep the clock alive.
Swipe left or right to switch lanes and cut in ahead of a rival bus before it reaches the waiting riders.
At every junction, swipe toward the district your riders want: Market, Ferry Ghat, Station, College or Old Town. The right turn is the fast turn.
Pull down to pull into a stop. Riders board by themselves, so your thumb stays on the race.
Every delivery adds time to the clock. Fast, smooth driving earns tips and speed bonuses. Drive like a maniac and your riders bail out. It's slapstick, never gory.
You're not the only bus in town. Named rival crews race you to the same waiting passengers, and they don't queue politely.
Named crews chase the same riders you do. Get to the stop first, or watch your fare ride off in someone else's bus.
Every district has a boss. Beat them head-to-head in a boss race to win the next route permit.
Five permits in all, each opening a new route with bigger fares. Rivergate gets bigger, and so does your pay.
You start with the Cricket, a battered little minibus with more character than horsepower. From there, you earn your way to a garage of restored legends.
Small, scrappy and held together by optimism. Your first bus, and your first fares.
A restored midi bus: a real step up in size, and a lot more presence at the stop.
The full-size legend. When the Atlas pulls in, the whole street turns to look.
Six upgrade tracks on every bus, so each one in your garage can be tuned to the way you drive:
In Rivergate, a bus is a canvas. Make yours the one people point at.
Fare Wars is free to play, and everything in it can be earned on the road. For players who want them, there are a few optional extras.
A top-up for when you want that new paint job now, not after the next shift.
A one-time upgrade that permanently doubles the fares you earn.
Extra looks for your buses. Purely cosmetic: they make you look good, not drive faster.
Fare Wars is coming soon to the App Store for iPhone and iPad. We'll link it here as soon as it's live.
Yes, it's free to play. There's an optional coin pack, a permanent double-fares upgrade and two cosmetic packs, and everything can be earned by playing.
No. No ads, no tracking and no account.
On your device. Fare Wars doesn't collect any data, and purchases are handled by Apple.
Not really. Drive recklessly and your riders bail out, but it's played for laughs: slapstick, no gore.
