Rediscover forgotten trips together
Last updated: 2 October 2026
PhotoGuessr is a family photo game for iPhone and iPad by Blue Flame Games. The short version: your photos stay on your device, and PhotoGuessr does not collect any data about you. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
None. Blue Flame Games does not collect, store, transmit or receive any personal information or usage data from PhotoGuessr. We run no servers for the app.
With your permission, PhotoGuessr reads photos from your photo library, including each photo's date and location, so it can show them in the game. Photos are read on your device. They are never uploaded, copied or sent anywhere, and they are not stored by the app outside your photo library. Photos you have hidden are never shown. You can limit the game to certain years and albums, and you can change or withdraw photo access at any time in Settings.
When an answer is revealed, PhotoGuessr shows the name of the place where the photo was taken. To do this, the photo's coordinate (not the photo itself) is sent to Apple Maps to look up the place name. This request is handled by Apple, and Apple's own privacy policy applies. We never see it. The maps shown in the game are also provided by Apple.
To remember your games, PhotoGuessr saves the following locally on your iPhone or iPad. It never leaves your device and we never see it:
The app includes a screen listing our other apps. The list itself is bundled inside the app, so showing it makes no network request. If you tap an app, the App Store's own overlay opens and Apple handles it under Apple's privacy policy.
PhotoGuessr may occasionally ask you to rate it using Apple's standard rating prompt. Apple controls whether it appears, and any rating you leave is handled by Apple.
Apple may process App Store activity and device diagnostics under your own device settings and Apple's privacy policy. That data is handled by Apple, not by PhotoGuessr.
PhotoGuessr is a family game. Because it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either.
Deleting PhotoGuessr removes its locally stored game data from your device, subject to your normal iOS and iCloud backup settings. Your photos are not affected.
