Look at the photo
A picture from your own library appears for everyone: “Where was this taken?” The room starts to remember.
Remember that trip? PhotoGuessr turns your family's own photo library into a game for the whole couch. Pass the phone around, guess where each picture was taken, and rediscover trips and days you had almost forgotten.
Somewhere in your library are summers, city breaks and ordinary Sundays nobody has looked at in years. PhotoGuessr brings them back one picture at a time, and gets everyone talking about where you were and who forgot their hat.

One iPhone or iPad is passed around the couch. There's nothing to set up for the players, just a photo and a map.

Each player takes the phone in turn and places a pin on the map. Nobody else sees it. Add a per-player countdown of 30, 60 or 90 seconds, or play with no timer.
When everyone has locked in, the phone is passed back to the middle of the couch, ready for the big moment.
Every pin appears on the map with its distance and points, the round winner is crowned, and the photo shows its place name and date.
Closer pins score more, up to 5,000 points a round. Switch on the optional bonus to guess the year as well.
PhotoGuessr only uses pictures that already have a location, and it never shows photos you've hidden.
Pick which years and albums to play from: the summer of 2019, the big birthday trip, or everything at once.
1 to 8 players, 5, 10 or 15 rounds, and a countdown of Off, 30, 60 or 90 seconds per player.
Mirror your iPhone or iPad to the television with AirPlay so the whole family can see the photo and the reveal.
PhotoGuessr is free. There are no ads, no in-app purchases, no subscriptions and no accounts. It's a small present from a small studio, for the family that wants an excuse to look at old photos together.
PhotoGuessr is coming soon to the App Store for iPhone and iPad. We'll link it here as soon as it's live.

No. Photos are read on your device and never uploaded or copied anywhere. To show the place name when an answer is revealed, the photo's location (not the photo) is looked up with Apple Maps.
Only photos in your library that have a location. Hidden photos are never shown, and you can limit the game to certain years and albums.
