Terms of Use
By downloading or using Keystrike you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Keystrike is a music-education app in active development. It supports guided lessons, sight-reading and ear-training drills, falling-note practice, section loops, imported MIDI practice, and free-play recording.
Keystrike is provided as an educational tool. It is not a substitute for a qualified piano teacher and does not award accredited qualifications. Where the curriculum borrows the structure of conventional grades, this is for pedagogical scaffolding only — passing a Keystrike grade is not equivalent to passing an external examination.
Keystrike ships a library of public-domain pieces sourced from the Mutopia Project under permissive licences. These pieces remain the work of their original composers and editors; we redistribute them under the terms specified by their respective licences.
You are responsible for ensuring that any MIDI file you import into Keystrike is one you have the right to use. Keystrike processes imported files locally and does not redistribute them.
You retain all rights to recordings you make with Keystrike's free-play feature. We do not access, store, or transmit your recordings.
Keystrike supports MIDI keyboards and microphone input but does not endorse or warrant any specific hardware. Performance with a given keyboard or microphone depends on the device manufacturer and your environment.
Keystrike is planned to offer a limited free trial followed by a one-time in-app purchase unlock through Apple's App Store. Purchases, refunds, and restores are governed by Apple's App Store terms and payment systems.
Features, curriculum structure, bundled pieces, and app behaviour may change before public release. Website descriptions should be read as a current development snapshot, not a guarantee that every planned feature is final.
Keystrike is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Blue Flame Games is not liable for any loss arising from use of the app, including but not limited to lost progress, hearing fatigue from headphone use, or inaccurate pitch detection in acoustic-piano mode.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms. Continued use after a material change constitutes acceptance.
