Tickview

Sourced alerts for your watchlist and the economy

Last updated: Tickview 2.1.

1. Acceptance

By using Tickview, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. What Tickview Is — and Is Not

Tickview is an information tool. It gathers publicly available financial and economic data and shows it with its source, for general information only.

Tickview is not financial, investment, tax or legal advice; not a personal recommendation; not an offer, solicitation or inducement to buy or sell any investment; and not a trading-signal service. Blue Flame Games is not an investment adviser, broker, dealer or financial planner, and is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, the Securities and Exchange Commission or any other financial regulator. Using Tickview does not create an advisory, client or fiduciary relationship.

3. Your Decisions Are Your Own

Tickview does not know your circumstances and nothing in it takes account of your objectives, finances or needs. You are solely responsible for your own financial decisions. If you need advice, speak to an appropriately authorised financial adviser. The value of investments can fall as well as rise, and past performance is not a reliable guide to future results.

4. Data Accuracy and Timing

The data in Tickview comes from third parties. It may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, revised later, or unavailable. Prices are not real-time quotes and must not be used to place or time trades. Currency conversions are indicative. Always check the original source, which Tickview links to, before relying on any figure.

Widgets, answers given through Siri and Shortcuts, and cards you share show a figure as it was when Tickview last fetched it, which may be some time ago. Each carries the time or date of its data. A widget cannot fetch data itself and can lag behind the app.

5. Holdings, Gain and Loss

If you enter share counts and costs, Tickview shows values, day changes, gains and losses for those positions. These figures are estimates. They are calculated on your device from third-party prices and exchange rates, which may be delayed or wrong, and from the numbers you typed, which Tickview cannot check. A gain or loss shown in your display currency is the gain or loss in the listing's currency converted at the latest rate; it does not include currency movements since your purchase, and it takes no account of dividends, of fees you left out of the cost, or of tax. A position with a missing cost, price or rate is left out of a total, and the total says so.

These figures are not a statement of any account and are not figures for a tax return. Your broker's or provider's records are the record. When Tickview describes your watchlist or holdings it describes the data you entered; it is not commenting on your positions or proposing a change to them.

6. Model Estimates and Statistics

Some screens (for example Recession Watch) show the output of published statistical models and historical track records, calculated by Tickview from public data. These are estimates, not predictions or forecasts. Models can be wrong: they have given false alarms and missed events in the past, and a historical track record describes the past, not the future. These calculations are made by Tickview and are not produced, reviewed or endorsed by the institutions that published the models or the data.

7. Alerts and Notifications

Alerts are a convenience. They may arrive late, arrive more than once, or not arrive at all, because of device settings, background limits set by the operating system, connectivity or data-provider outages. Do not rely on Tickview alerts for trading, risk management or any time-sensitive decision.

8. AI-Generated Text

Short summaries in Tickview may be generated automatically by an AI model running on your device. Generated text can be inaccurate or incomplete and is not advice. The figures on the card and the linked source take precedence over any summary.

In Tickview 1.2.0 and later, all AI runs on your device; Blue Flame Games does not access, collect or store your questions, and they are not sent to any AI service. Earlier versions (1.1.x) had an optional bring-your-own-key mode that could send the data described in the Privacy Policy to a provider of your choice under your own account and its terms; that mode has been removed.

9. Cards You Share

Tickview can turn a result into an image for you to share. A card carries public figures with the name of their source, the date of the data and the source's link. Tickview never puts your share counts, position values, costs or notes on a card; a card made from your brief or from the schedule does name the tickers it covers. Sharing a card is your own act: you decide whether to share it and with whom, and you are responsible for how you use it. A card is information only, like everything else in Tickview. It is not advice and not an invitation to anyone to buy or sell an investment, and it shows data as last fetched.

10. Third-Party Data Sources

Depending on the version and your settings, Tickview shows data from sources including:

Tickview is independent. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of these organisations, and their names are used only to identify where data comes from. This product uses the FRED® API but is not endorsed or certified by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. BLS.gov cannot vouch for the data or analyses derived from these data after the data have been retrieved from BLS.gov.

We make no guarantee of the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of any data from these providers, and any of them may change or withdraw their data at any time.

11. API Keys

You are responsible for obtaining and managing your own API keys for optional data providers and for complying with those providers' terms. Keys are stored on your device only.

12. Purchases

Tickview Pro is sold through Apple's App Store and is subject to Apple's terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your Apple Account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple. A “lifetime” purchase unlocks Tickview Pro features for as long as Tickview is offered and supported; it is not a guarantee that any particular feature or data source will remain available.

13. Changes to the App

Features and data sources may be changed, limited or removed, for example when a data provider changes its terms or when a feature can no longer be kept accurate.

14. Intellectual Property

The Tickview name and branding are the property of Blue Flame Games. Data displayed in the app belongs to its respective providers.

15. Liability

Tickview is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Blue Flame Games is not liable for any loss arising from your use of Tickview or reliance on anything shown in it, including investment or trading losses, loss of profit, and indirect or consequential loss. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for Tickview in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

16. Who Can Use Tickview

Tickview is intended for adults. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to use it for anything involving your own finances.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. The “Last updated” line shows the latest version. Continued use of Tickview after an update means you accept the updated terms.

18. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you also keep any mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live.
